Terms of Service
The agreement between Jsyxi Shipping and the merchant who installs it.
1. These terms
These terms govern your use of the Jsyxi Shipping app (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By installing the app on your Shopify store you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. What the app does
The app connects your Shopify store to Indian courier companies. It reads your orders, calculates parcel weight and shipping cost, books shipments with couriers, produces shipping labels and manifests and GST invoices, tracks parcels, manages failed delivery attempts, and reconciles what couriers bill you against what you expected.
We are not a courier. We do not carry, handle, store or take custody of any parcel at any time. Every parcel is carried by the courier company you selected, under your contract with that courier.
3. Bring Your Own Courier
The app works on a Bring Your Own Courier basis. You contract directly with each courier and hold your own account and rates with them. The app books on your credentials, under your account, at your rates.
Because of this:
- We add no margin to any courier rate. Every price the app quotes, estimates, compares, displays or reconciles is your own contracted price. There is no markup anywhere in the product.
- We hold no balance, wallet, float or escrow for you. There is no top-up, no stored value and no payout in the product.
- We never touch cash-on-delivery money. COD cash moves between your courier and you. The app records and reconciles it so you can see what is owed and what has arrived; it never receives, holds or disburses it.
- Freight, COD handling fees, weight-discrepancy charges and every other courier charge are billed to you by your courier, not by us. Disputes about them are between you and that courier; the app gives you the evidence to raise one.
4. What we charge
The only money we charge you is the app subscription and its AWB overage. Nothing else. All of it is billed through the Shopify Billing API and appears on your Shopify invoice — we never take card details or bill you directly.
| Item | Terms |
|---|---|
| Free trial | 14 days and 50 shipments, whichever ends first. No charge during the trial and no automatic charge without your approval of a Shopify subscription. |
| Subscription | A recurring plan charge on the cycle Shopify sets, with a shipment allowance for that cycle. |
| Overage | A usage charge for shipments booked beyond your plan allowance in a cycle, within the capped amount you approved. |
| Upgrades | Take effect once you approve the new charge in Shopify. |
| Downgrades | Take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. |
Test shipments are never charged. A shipment counts once, when the courier durably confirms its tracking number; if you cancel it before pickup and the courier confirms the cancellation, the count is returned to your allowance.
All amounts are in Indian Rupees. The app operates only for stores whose currency is INR.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep your courier credentials, pickup address, GST details and package settings accurate. The app books what you configure.
- Ship only goods you are lawfully entitled to ship, and that your courier accepts. Prohibited, restricted, hazardous and dangerous goods are governed by your courier’s terms and by Indian law.
- Declare weight, dimensions and contents honestly. Couriers re-weigh parcels and bill the difference; those charges are yours.
- Comply with your courier’s terms and with the law that applies to your business, including tax and consumer law.
- Keep your own staff’s access to the app current — remove people who leave.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the app’s access controls, scrape it, resell access to it, or use it to process data you have no right to process.
6. Data and privacy
For buyer personal data you are the data controller and we are your processor. What we process, why, who it goes to and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the app available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, Shopify outages, courier API outages and events outside our control will interrupt it. The app is built so one courier’s outage does not block bookings with another.
Support is provided as described on our Support page.
8. Suspension and downgrade of access
If your subscription lapses or a required approval is missing, the store moves to a restricted state: existing data stays readable and already-generated documents stay downloadable, but new bookings stop. Continued non-payment moves the store to read-only. We may suspend an account immediately where use is unlawful, where it endangers the service or other merchants, or where Shopify requires it.
9. Ending this agreement
You may end it at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. Uninstalling immediately ends all sessions and buyer tracking links, stops all background processing, and destroys your stored Shopify and courier credentials. Reinstalling is a fresh connection, never a restore of what was there before.
Data retention after uninstall follows the schedule in our Privacy Policy. Refunds follow our Cancellation & Refunds policy.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its interface and its documentation remain ours. You keep everything of yours: your store data, your order and shipment records, your courier relationships and your rates. Nothing here transfers ownership of your data to us, and we claim no licence over it beyond what running the service for you requires.
11. Disclaimers
The app is provided as-is. We do not warrant that courier rates, serviceability data, delivery estimates or tracking information are complete or error-free — that information originates with the courier and with public PIN-code data, and we pass it through as given.
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of couriers: late delivery, damage, loss, misrouting, failed pickup, incorrect re-weighing, or a courier’s refusal to carry a parcel. Those are matters between you and your courier under your contract with them.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the app is limited to the app subscription and overage fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and the effective date above will change. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the change. If you do not, uninstall the app.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
